Selection of Coaches
Anyone interested in coaching for the WVA should contact a board member directly. Volunteers for the Fall 2009 Season are needed.

Regular Season Schedule
The 2010 season will begin in early September and continue for 8 weeks. All WVA matches will be played on Saturday mornings or early afternoons during the season.

Equipment
The league will furnish the game balls.

All leagues will use a Tachikara Volley-Lite Volleyball.

The 3rd/4th grade league will play on a reduced size court with a serving line that is approximately 15 ft. from the net.

The 5th/6th grade league will play on a standard size volleyball court with a serving line that is 20 ft. from the net.

The net height will be approximately 6 feet 6 inches (6' 6").

Uniforms
League uniforms (jerseys) are included in the registration cost.

Each player must wear court shoes during games and practices.

No jewelry shall be worn during games, this includes earrings, watches, ID bracelets or necklaces, hats, metal or hard plastic hair clips, etc.

Awards and Trophies
Trophies will be given to the league champions as determined by the league Post season tournament.

Team Practice Sessions
Practices will be limited to one, 1.5 hour session per week during the season.

Each player must participate in practice unless injured, disciplined, or restricted by a parent.

Failure to make practice, unless justified, may result in waiving of mandatory playing time.

A minimum of one (1) practice session per week will be allowed prior to the seasons beginning.

Only team members, parents, and supervised children will be allowed at the practice session.

Practice areas and times of practice will be assigned to each team by the Board.

In most cases, a gym will be divided between two (2) teams, each having half the court space for the practice session.

Voluntary Practices
A coach may conduct voluntary practices, but no other practice, other than the one assigned by the Board, can be mandatory.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in a forfeit of the game or match in question.
